This miniature artwork was created from photographs and studies done at the St. Louis zoo. Panthera uncia is the technical name for Snow Leopard.
It is a large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. It is listed as endangered because the size of the global wild population has been estimated at 4,080-6,590 adults.
