I've been sharpening my drawing skills by joining the wonderful people over at www.illustratedatcs.com. It's a juried website for artists who like the challenge of creating themed art in a 2.5" x 3.5" size. We then trade them with each other.
It's a great way to improve your art skills while at the same time collecting a diverse and amazing collection of art. I'm always inspired by what the other artists come up with.
The images above are my pieces for the Whimsical Robot swap. The subject was totally out of my comfort zone but they were a whole lot of fun to create. I like to pick themes that I think "no way can I do this" and then I'm surprised when I come up with something after all!
