The leaves and stem are turning out better than I expected. My reference photos don't really show a lot of detail for me to work from so I'm having to fill in a lot of "blank" areas with what I think would have been there.Usually I refer to my sketches but this was taken in the Missouri Botanical Gardens on a very, very hot day. It was just way too uncomfortable sitting for any length of time in the blazing sun.
Still more work to do but I'm hoping to have this done (at least in black & white) by the end of tomorrow. I really need to learn to work faster.
