They officially acknowledged it in a recent newsletter that went out and here is partial screen shot of it:
As you can see it was my work "Diapente" that took the prize and I couldn't be more astounded. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who voted for my artwork.
PS - I have some more really exciting news to tell all of you very soon!

CONGRATULATIONS Sandra, a very well deserved prize. Your work is amazing.
Thanks Judy! I hope you're doing OK now after the cyclone.
Hi Sandra
We weren't affected by cyclone Yasi here in Brisbane, although there is still a great deal of work to be done after the floods.
I'm new to your blog and I must say a little overwhelmed at the greatness of your work. I have done some scratchboard in the past and understand the amount of time it takes. I have two blank boards that I keep saying to myself one day I will do this again. Any words of encouragement or suggestion? I look forward to coming back to see your work again.
Fay
Thanks for your kind words Fay! It makes me feel just awesome to know that folks appreciate the hours I've spent on these pieces. The only encouragement I can give you is don't wait, just start scratching. If you make a mistake then you have a "practice" board where you can try out all sorts of things before you begin the next one. Check out the scratchboard forum over at WetCanvas.com and you will find a whole bunch of terrific people that will encourage you to give it a try!
